tears.
my face drowns in the flow of tears
i feel nothing but a heavy heartache
for all that i've gone through over the years
knowing that loving you was a mistake
the tears drench my cheeks as i think back
on all the memories that we shared
somehow i knew that you would lack
the ability to show you cared
these tears won't easily go away
they fall so quickly and stay so long
but i know that they will dry up someday
and i'll forget how i have been wronged

I crave relief.
Just a drop, a dribble.
But then it won't stop
I'll wither away to dust
Or I'm left to drown
Crawling up the rocks
And slipping at every hopeless attempt.
Mascara run.
T-shirt stain.
Muscles ache.

Tears of blood
Stream down my face.
I try to hide them
But they spread
Like a plague.
The pain is showing
All over my body.
The redness of blood,
Like a poisoned apple,
Has stained my skin.
My nails are caked
With the forgotten tears
Of those from the past
When I still cried
These tears of blood.
The red sinks into my hair,
Dying it the color of death.
I cannot escape it.
It is always there
Like a drunken tattoo.
Make these stop
I'm drowning in blood
The red sea is up to my chin
If I let out a scream,
I will drown and cease to exist.
Maybe that's the best.
